Kids to Park Day
Join us for this National Day of outdoor play, celebrated on the third Saturday of May in conjunction with the National Park Trust. We will have fun activities throughout the day at different parks. If you can't make it to all, hopefully you can make it to one of them.
Here's the timeline and description of events:
1. Paddleboard Tour of Dutton Island Preserve with Jax Surf & Paddle: 8 a.m.
Registration is full for the paddleboard tour. However, we are looking into doing more tours in the future. Stay tuned.
2. Field Day activities with New Age Hippy at Donner Park: 9 - 10: 30 a.m.
Enjoy a morning filled with exciting challenges with 3-legged relays, potato sack, wheelbarrow run, and tug-a-war to warm you up. Then off to another level with a little boot camp action fun for everyone.
3. Wild Wonders at Howell Park: 11 a.m.
Wild Wonders will be at Howell Park for their "Scaly Sensations" interactive and informative live show. If you haven't been able to make it to one of their shows, now is the time to do it. Other dates for shows are May 27, June 10, & June 24 at 11 a.m. at Dutton Island Preserve Pavilion.
4. Scavenger Hunt at Johansen Park with Beaches WellFest: 12 - 2 p.m.
Come explore with us! There are so many cool things to find outside, and All Together Wellness is creating a scavenger hunt to help you and your little one explore the outdoors in a new light. Bring your little ones, create your own binoculars with our team, and finish with a yummy healthy outdoor snack! Nature time brings mental health, physical health, and self-regulation so important for all of us!
