ARTS IN THE PARK 2020!

Applications for the 17th Annual Arts in the Park will be available October 1, 2019. Artists interested in applying for this juried entry show are encouraged to apply by December 31st to avoid the late fee.

Sponsored by the Cultural Arts and Recreation Advisory Committee annually.

Artists say it is the best show they've ever done. Be a part of this event that has live music and food trucks along with artistic mediums of Visual Art, Jewelry and Mixed Mediums of Wood Crafting, Glass Blowing, Metal Art, and more.

FLAG FOOTBALL REGISTRATION!

Registration for fall flag football begins September 2, 2019. There are two age groups: 5 to 7 and 8 to 12; registration is $10. Games are played Saturday mornings at Donner Park. Registration forms are available to submit online (click below) or can be picked up at the Adele Grage Cultural Center, 716 Ocean Blvd.

FAMILY FUN DAY & CAMPOUT UNDER THE STARS!

Mark your calendars! You will not want to miss this popular event scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19 from 3 to 10 p.m. at our own Jack Russell Park. Share in the family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon and evening. All Fun Day activities are free and open to the public.  The evening ends with the showing of “A Dog’s Way Home”. Those who brave the overnight campout will enjoy a free pancake breakfast on Sunday morning. Families wanting to camp can reserve a camp site for $15, beginning on September 2nd.  Stop by the Recreation office in the Adele Grage Cultural Center to reserve your site, beginning on Sept. 3rd, Rain date: October 26.

ART WALK ARTIST RECEPTION @ ADELE GRAGE GALLERY

Make the Adele Grage Gallery, in Bull Park your first/last stop at the Featured Artist Reception:  during the North Beaches Art Walk at 716 Ocean Blvd. and meet the featured  artist .  Free and open to the public 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday,  September 19  come rain or shine and enjoy light refreshments and snacks.

Call or text Beachside Buggies for a ride back and forth between the Adele Grage Center and Town Center during Art Walk at 904-887-4441.  They operate on tips only!  Don't lose your parking spot, just hop aboard.

DuoCARAC SPONSORED- Talent in our own backyard! Brought to you by the City of Atlantic Beach Cultural Arts and Recreation Advisory Committee. Enjoy the original sounds by local talent in the Adele Grage Theater.  Come inside the theater, out of the heat, you'll be glad you did!  Doors open at 5:45 p.m.

Whether you write, sing, play or simply enjoy listening to good music, plan on being with us. Hosted by Mike Shackelford, local performers transform the Adele Grage Theater from 6-8 pm with original music creations. Light snacks and refreshments served.

Seating is first come-first served for this admission-free, alcohol-free event.
Performers should contact host Mike Shackelford at (904) 610-7461. Prepare two original songs of 7-8 minutes combined maximum.

ACOUSTIC NIGHT WITH FOOD TRUCK 

Host, Mike Shackelford and friends will be in Bull Memorial Park for concert in the Park under the swaying palm trees with the ocean breeze! It doesn't get any better than this on a beautiful summer evening as you enjoy the music on your blanket, in your chair or standing around with neighbors and friends, listening to the musical talent of local singers of all ages. Come rain or shine. In event of inclement weather, the event moves indoors at the Adele Grage Theater in Bull Park.

Come hungry, A Food Truck TBA will be available for dinner from 5-8:30 pm on 7th St. at East Coast Dr.

Bull Memorial Park is located on the corner of 7th St. & East Coast Drive. Ride, Walk, Run or Drive, it's going to be a great evening! Performers should contact host Mike Shackelford at (904) 610-7461. Prepare two original songs of 7-8 minutes combined maximum.

INTRACOASTAL PADDLE TOUR 

Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Atlantic Beach by way of paddles (paddle board or kayak)  
Paddle Tour @ Dutton Island kayak launch (south end).  

Why not explore our local marsh trails and parks by waterway?  Tours begin with a demonstration for beginner paddlers followed by a guided one hour tour.  Enjoy the local flora and fauna, meet new people as you get comfortable with the water routes for future paddling.  The goal of the session is to paddle from Dutton Island Park to Tideviews Preserve Park (depending on skill level and weather).

                                                               Come enjoy an easy afternoon paddle in your backyard!

The City of Atlantic Beach allows leashed dogs on the beach, except while in the water. Please respect your fellow beach goers. 

Weddings on the beach require a permit issued at the Recreation Department.
