The purpose of the special public meeting will be to announce and to hold a private attorney-client meeting in accordance with Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes, and will be confined to settlement negotiations and litigation expense strategy pertaining to the pending lawsuit, Queniat v. City of Atlantic Beach, Case No. 16-2017-CA-319. Atlantic Beach is a party to the lawsuit. The special private attorney-client meeting will be held in the North Conference Room in the City Hall. Following the conclusion of the special private attorney-client meeting, the Commission will reconvene in the Commission Chamber and adjourn the special public meeting.

The City of Atlantic Beach provides financial support for organizations providing cultural arts and recreation programs to the residents of Atlantic Beach.
Funding Availability: The City Commission has allocated funding for the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 to support artistic, recreational programs, events or projects which benefit the residents of Atlantic Beach.
Application for contributions are invited from eligible non-profit 501(c) 3 community organizations, schools or districts providing extra-curricular extramural programs to fund one-time arts, cultural and recreation programs, activities or events.
Only one Contribution application may be submitted per eligible non-profit, 501(c)3 community service organization, with a maximum award request of $10,000 per applicant. Final Contribution Award amount may be allocated as determined by the Cultural Arts and Recreation Advisory Committee.
