The purpose is to provide training for Atlantic Beach Board and Committee Members. The training will cover requirements pertaining to elected officials, public officers, board and committee members, including alternate members and advisory committee members, and public employees such as Public Records Law (F.S. Chapter 119), Sunshine Law (F.S. Chapter 286), Ethics Law, including Gifts, Voting Conflicts, and Financial Disclosures (F.S. Chapter 112). Additional topics include Robert’s Rules of Order, board/committee duties and responsibilities, and the relationship with city staff.
