In almost all cases, your water was cut off because you did not pay your bill. To have your water reconnected, you must pay your bill and a $30 reconnect fee. Other reasons that may cause the water to be off would be for a Public Works or Public Utility project or an error in application of the payment received to your account. In the case of a project, you should receive prior notice of any planned cut-off. On occasion, a waterline may break, also causing the water to be off.
Reservations can be made by calling the Recreation Office (904-247-5828) to check availability. A Special Events Application (see Permits and Rentals webpage), and fee is required to obtain a permit. AB Parks with pavilions are Donner, Jordan, Russell, & Dutton Island Preserve. An Application can be emailed or faxed to the Recreation Dept. for payment over the phone with a credit card. Permits are issued until 4 pm M-F at 716 Ocean Blvd. Atlantic Beach.
Sec. 4-25. Leashing.No dog shall be allowed off the property of its owner unless the dog is fastened to a suitable leash of dependable strength not to exceed twelve (12) feet in length. Such leash must be attached to a fixed object or specifically held by a person capable of controlling the animal. On Atlantic Beach if dog and owner are in the Atlantic Ocean together, the dog shall be allowed to swim unleashed and then immediately put back on the leash before returning to the beach. The rate of pay is $35.00 per hour with a 4 hour minimum at any establishment which serves alcohol. Cancellations may be made at anytime; however if the cancellation is less than 24 hours before the start of the requested time, a minimum of 4 hours salary will be incurred by the requesting party.

Yes. For residential and commercial driveways, contact the Building Department at (904) 247-5826. A Right-of-Way Permit is required to install driveways within the City's Right-of-Way. For driveways using non-standard materials (e.g., pavers or river rock concrete), a Revocable Encroachment Agreement is required. This permit authorizes the holder to install the driveway, but limits the City's responsibility for restoration if removal is required for City utility work.
