The Department of Recreation and Special Events offers three community centers with recreational programs for your enjoyment. We provide opportunities for you and your family to participate in cultural and leisure activities while enjoying our 14 beautiful parks.

The City of Atlantic Beach has approximately two miles of white sandy beaches with 14 ocean accesses.  In addition to the beach, the City has approximately sixty-five acres of parkland, including Dutton Island Preserve on the intracoastal waterway.

The Recreation Department offers activities such as after-school-programs, youth sports and summer camps as well as Special Events - Concerts, Arts in the Park, Tour de Parks, Fun Day and Camp-Out under the Stars, and Holiday celebrations for families.
