The City of Atlantic Beach has two miles of white sandy beach with 18 ocean accesses.   In addition to the beach, the City has sixty-five acres dedicated to parks, including the Dutton Island Preserve on the Intracoastal Waterway.

Jack Russell Park, one of Atlantic Beach’s most frequently used parks, rests on 12 acres and consists of a large picnic pavilion (available by reservation), 6 tennis courts, 2 racquetball courts, 2 playground areas, 2 baseball diamonds, a full basketball court, and soccer field.

The Oceanside Rotary Skate Park is also located at Russell Park.   Russell Park is home to the Atlantic Beach Athletic Association (baseball), First Coast Soccer, tennis courts are on a first come-first served basis - No tournament playing allowed.
