Saturday, June 24th is your last chance to enjoy Wild Wonders "The Great Kapok Tree" with Mike Rossi and his furry and reptile friends at the Dutton Island Pavilion from 11 am - 12 pm.
Kids enjoy the educational experience with hands-on adventures and fun, and get a free activity booklet!

This year's contest theme to capture the winning photo is:
"Atlantic Beach Sunsets"
We have beautiful, unique and colorful sunsets in our own backyard.
Capture the best photo and be featured on the 2018 Calendar of Events Brochure and our website. Deadline is August 15th. Good luck and show off your talents. Beginner, advanced; no matter your level of photography, grab the best shot and win.
* Maximum of Two original photos/One entry per person per email address is allowed
* Entrant must be the original photographer
* No digital enhancement
* Winning photographer must be willing to sign photo release to COAB
* Minimum 300 dpi
* Winner will be announced on October 1st
* Photos judged on: 1. Technical Merit (Focus, sharpness, detail, color & contrast)
Permits from the Recreation Department
Permits for camping, beach or park events and/or Community or Cultural Center Rentals from the Recreation Office are issued Monday - Friday 8 am - 4 pm.

The City of Atlantic Beach allows leashed
dogs on the beach, except while in the water. Please respect your fellow beach goers.
Weddings on the beach require a permit issued at the Recreation Department.
Please dispose of all trash in the trash receptacles provided at each beach access.
Respect others while on the beach and be safe.

Explore our local marsh trails as you learn about the natural eco system, view nature at its finest and enjoy the peace and quiet as you paddle the Intracoastal Waterway from Dutton Island to Tideviews Park by kayak or paddleboard with certified tour guides from Jax Surf & Paddle this Sunday, June 25th @ 10 am.

NORTH BEACHES TOWN CENTER ART WALK
Thursday, Juy 20th from 5-9 pm, The Beaches Town Center & Adele Grage Cultural Center fill the streets and center with artists (local and northeast Florida) of many mediums. Come gather around Atlantic Blvd. /First Street & Ocean Blvd/7th Street. More than 20 locations feature artists and provide refreshments and music to the public.
Make Adele Grage in Bull Park your first/last stop on the monthly North Beaches Art Walk at 716 Ocean Blvd. and meet the featured artist for July, Fernadina Beach's retired Mayor, Milt Shirley. Free and open to the public 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Rain or shine with light refreshments and snacks.
Call or text Beachside Buggies for a ride back and forth between the Adele Grage Center and Town Center during Art Walk at 904-887-4441. They operate on tips only! Don't lose your parking spot, just hop aboard.

The Adele Grage Cultural Center welcomes back photographer and painter, Stacey Mayo. Stacey is a self-taught artist who works intuitively and spontaneously, allowing her painting and illustrations to unfold. She is prolific painter and does not limit herself to any one style or medium.
She is passionate about color and art and the healing effect it has.
Her beautiful work is on display through June 30th. Come enjoy the talents of Stacey Mayo.

Whether you write, sing, play or simply enjoy good music, plan on being with us. Hosted by Mike Shackelford, local performers transform the Atlantic Beach Theater from 6-8 pm with original music creations. Light snacks and refreshments served.
Seating is first come-first served for this admission-free, alcohol-free event.
