The Adele Grage Cultural Center welcomes Arts in the Park Winner, Hadi Joyce,
a self taught photographer and graphic designer, originally from the shores of Lake Ontario. Hadi has always been enamored with and drawn to nature and coastal settings. His earliest and fondest memories are of exploring and enjoying the beaches, bays and marinas of Lake Ontario. It is those memories that inspire his photography/design and inform his technique. "I try to capture and reproduce what a memory looks like in my head.... Somewhat faded and weathered, but full of emotion and nostalgia", says Hadi.
To achieve this, he has developed a technique in which he prints his photography on hand selected 100% natural linen, chosen specifically for his work. Hadi says that the linen "Is the perfect medium for my photography/design and really allows me to express my work as a representation of a memory rather than a perfect reproduction of a scene.”
His beautiful work is on display through May 31st. Come enjoy the talents of first time ever Arts in the Park vendor and winner!
Visit the Adele Grage Gallery at 716 Ocean Blvd. Atlantic Beach from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday.

June - Stacey Mayo (Paintings & Photography)
July - Milt Shirley (Oil Paintings)

September - Sandy Harrington (Water Color & Ink Art)
