FEATURED ARTIST: Donna Woulfe
DSC03715.JPG
Donna Woulfe, pencil artist who recreates celebrity photos, started drawing Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck as a child along with other Disney characters.  She painted murals on her basement walls of dinosuars and fairy tale characters for her children.

It wasn't until retirement last year that Donna went after her dream to become an artist, strongly encouraged by her late husband.  She has studied under several artists, most recently the Art League of Jacksonville, Linda Serafin and Anthony Whiting.  "I begin by studying and 'getting to know' the character of the subject, trying to capture the essence of their personality of who they are and how they differ from others."

Donna's display at the Adele Grage Cultrual Center consists of pencil art of celebrity photos, watercolor and acrylic art now through June 3.

ABET

"A Streetcar Named Desire"
A classic drama by Tenessee Williams

May 24,25,26,2013

This classic drama reveals to the very depths the character of Blanche du Bois, a woman whose life has been undermined by her romantic illusions, which lead her to reject-so far as possible-the realities of life with which she is faced and which she consistently ignores.  The pressure brought to bear upon her by her sister, with whom she goes to live in New Orleans, intensified by the earthy and extremely "normal" young husband of the latter, leads to a revelation of her tragic self-delusion and, in the end, to madness.
