South Seminole Road Drainage Improvements at-a-Glance
The project is located on Seminole Road from David Street to Palm Avenue and consists of the following drainage improvements: reconstruction of residential driveways; grading existing roadside ditches; removal of storm drain pipe; storm drain pipe and drainage structure construction; sidewalk construction; and incidental signing and striping.
On Jan. 27, 2020, the City Commission awarded the drainage project to Gruhn May, Inc., at a cost of $463,060.40, to construct the project in accordance with the plans and bid specifications. The project is fully funded in the City’s fiscal year 2019-20 budget. A preconstruction conference will be held on February 19, 2020, at which time a notice-to-proceed date will be determined. The contractor will be given 120 days to complete the project.
The City will host a South Seminole Road Drainage Improvement Project Open House from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20. Drop in anytime to learn about the project. Short presentations will be made at 5:30 and 6:30.
