Beaches Community Resources Guide

The City of Atlantic Beach publishes this Beaches Community Resources Guide to make it easier for individuals, organizations, religious institutions, and businesses to access helpful information about various resources and services that are available, including financial assistance, health care, senior services, transportation, homeless services, legal services, and other services. LOCAL AID

This City of Atlantic Beach/Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry program enables all of us to assist our fellow citizens in financial need with their utility bill. Atlantic Beach Cares has helped many customers caught up in financial hardships such as a loss of job, illness, and other unexpected expenses to keep their utilities on.

BEAM is a community based organization serving low income residents in Jacksonville’s beaches communities and relying heavily on community support to assist our neighbors in time of need. BEAM offers financial assistance, senior help, food pantry and food stamp sign-up, and support through the single-parent program.

By matching volunteer specialty care providers and hospital partners with carefully pre-screened patients in need of care, WeCareJax helps meet a critical gap in healthcare access. These are the patients who otherwise would not receive care or would seek care in emergency rooms and further contribute to the current health care burden on hospitals and their communities.

Health, nutritional and home care programs are designed specifically to serve and educate the frail, elderly and disabled and their caregivers.
