The City of Atlantic Beach has been awarded a $184,250 resiliency grant to assist with the construction of flood protection measures at the Cavalla Road lift station. This project will assure continuity of service and prevention of sewage overflows to Hopkins Creek during extreme storm events. The Atlantic Beach project is among 75 resilience initiatives using already-appropriated funding through the Resilient Florida program to help prepare coastal and inland communities for the adverse impacts of flooding and storm surge.
