AB's Gualillo to attend FBI academy

VicGualilloAtlantic Beach Police Cmdr. Vic Gualillo has been accepted to attend the  FBI National Academy in Quantico, Va.

Police Chief Michelle Cook says she thinks Gualillo is her department's first representative to attend the prestigious academy.

Leaders and managers of state, local, county, tribal, military, federal and international law enforcement agencies attend the academy. Selection for participation in the 10-week professional course of study is by invitation only through a nomination process.

Gualillo is a 29-year Atlantic Beach Police Department veteran.

“He is a man of integrity, he is a hard worker, and it was an honor to nominate him,” said Police Chief Michelle Cook.
