Get the SaferWatch app

SaferWatch in Atlantic Beach

The SaferWatch Mobile Application is a communication tool which helps to make citizens and communities safer and more informed. SaferWatch enables Atlantic Beach residents and visitors to report suspicious activity, crime tips, potential threats, and non-emergencies directly to the City. SaferWatch is also an official notification tool that empowers the City of Atlantic Beach and the Police Department to send out real-time and important notifications about emergencies and public safety information. The Police Department does not utilize this platform as a means to report general crime occurrences or information that is not time sensitive with an emergent public safety component. Many times more general information and safety tips are put on our social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

NEW VERSION OF SAFERWATCH APP IS AVAILABLE

SaferWatch Version 4.0 is now available on both iOS and Android. Please make sure that you have the latest version of SaferWatch installed on your phone. SaferWatch App is FREE to download and is available on both iOS and Android.

QUESTIONS FROM RESIDENTS

I received SaferWatch Alerts before, why am I not receiving Alerts now?

There can be several reasons for this:

First, SaferWatch Alerts are sent based on certain types of activities taking place within the City and it is the discretion of the City as to when SaferWatch Alerts are sent out.

Second, there is a possibility that you have the SaferWatch App but are not subscribed to the City of Atlantic Beach or locations within the City.

Third, you are subscribed to locations but do not have Notifications turned on for SaferWatch. Please ensure notifications are turned on for SaferWatch App.

Lastly, there is a possibility that you may need to “Logout” out of your account and log back in to update. You can logout by going to the Account tab and then click on the “Settings” icon on the top right of the page and then click “Logout”. Once you log back into SaferWatch, your account will be updated.

How do I subscribe to SaferWatch locations? First, ensure that you have the SaferWatch app installed on your smartphone or smart device. To check and see if you’re subscribed to a location, simply click on the dropdown menu on the top of the app and select “Choose New Location”. You will see all of the locations which are currently subscribed to. You will also see a button that says “Join SaferWatch Locations”, click that button to subscribe to more locations.
