More… The City of Atlantic Beach announced today that it will offer a payment assistance program for Atlantic Beach water and sewer utility customers who are federal government employees who are not being paid because of the government shutdown. Furloughed federal employees and those who are working without pay will qualify for deferral of water and sewer utility payments for the duration of the government shutdown, plus an additional 60 days following its conclusion. You will be asked to verify your status with a federal employee ID or pay stub. Special note: This special program only pertains to the federal government shutdown that began Dec. 22, 2018.
