Notice is hereby given that the City will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commission Chamber, 800 Seminole Road, Atlantic Beach, FL for the purpose of providing training for Atlantic Beach Board and Committee Members and Staff Liaisons. A hybrid format will be used to allow members and liaisons to participate in-person or virtually.
The training will cover requirements pertaining to public officers, board and committee members, including alternate members and advisory committee members, and public employees such as Public Records Law (F.S. Chapter 119), Sunshine Law (F.S. Chapter 286), Ethics Law, including Gifts, Voting Conflicts, and Financial Disclosures (F.S. Chapter 112). Additional topics include Robert’s Rules of Order, board/committee duties and responsibilities, and the relationship with city staff. The public is invited to attend.
