David Cameron

Commander Cameron began his law enforcement career with the Atlantic Beach Police Department in 1997 as a patrol officer. While serving as a patrol officer, he was a Field Training officer and DUI/Traffic Enforcement Officer. In 2003, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant where he commanded the patrol, community-oriented policing services, and the criminal investigations divisions. In 2009, he promoted to the rank of Lieutenant over the community affairs and special events division, along with emergency preparedness, the volunteer program, the citizen police academy and community initiatives. In 2020, he was promoted to Commander where he now leads the Investigations, Administration and Emergency Management Division.
